Homeschool

Homeschooling is the fastest growing trend in the U.S. Parents are finding out how easy it is to homeschool their children and to provide them with a personalized education path, as well as a safer environment. Social opportunities abound for homeschoolers and resources and programs have never been easier to find than they are today. Many resources are free! With over 7% of U.S. students now homeschooling, education is swiftly evolving and home school students are blazing the path forward.

Learning Pods / Co - Ops

Learning pods and co-ops are a great way to share some of the homeschool teaching and to surround your child with a small group of peers.  There are established pods and new pods forming in communities throughout the U.S.  This is an innovative way to access free small group education for your child.  Do you have a neighbor or friend that also wants a contemporary and safe education for their child?  Start or join a pod or co-op today!

Microschools

Microschools are the newest trend to hit the education sphere. Microschools offer many options and are usually very small, drop off private schools that oversee personalized education for a group of learners.  These schools are popular for parents that don’t have time to homeschool and need to drop off their child, but desire the value of a personalized, small, learning education model and environment.  Some microschools have a set curriculum that students follow and others allow for choice.

Learning Centers

Learning centers are an impactful way to farm out some of the teaching to teachers that have a passion for a specific subject or is an expert in their field, while still receiving the advantages of homeschooling. Children reap the benefit of having a community of other homeschoolers to learn with while also getting to choose what to learn. Many learning centers also offer field trips and events, which foster community.

Hybrid Programs

Hybrid programs combine the best of both worlds by providing part-time, in person instruction, and homeschool. Students work on their curriculum and assignments during their homeschool days, independently or with parental support.  Typically hybrid models offer two or three days a week of  teacher instruction with other children.  Home days are usually a mix of academics and enrichment opportunities.

Charter Schools

Charter Schools are competitors to traditional brick and mortar public schools.  With free tuition and alternative education models, charters offer a popular alternative.  Many homeschool families enjoy the benefits of teacher support and instructional funds to purchase personalized curriculum.  Each charter school is unique so it is important to investigate and compare charter schools before enrolling.
